It's neat to see the changes, and puts me in my mind of all the details she has in her head that are part of the story, but aren't in the final edit. Like that thread in the Elderings forum about the "break him as you broke the other one" comment. The world is rich already, but even moreso with all the details in her mind. She's like a sea serpent

My understanding is that UK (and presumably oz too) release date is July 09, and u.s. is ... later. Dec 09? Jan 2010? (Can you tell which date interests me most?) First draft of the book was due to be finished in December. Deadline past, book unfinished due to some glitch in the storyline requiring some rewriting. The latest catastrophe was a virus that totally trashed robin's computer. More time delays, but Dragonkeeper rescued. Hopefully, the publishers have as high a regard for robin's work as we do, and will pull out all stops (oh but please not the error checking!) and keep to the anticipated release dates.

Are you a Chay or a shay in pronunciation? Must say I like the name. I'm hard at work right now on Dragon Keeper. This will be a one-volume stand alone tale that takes place in the Rain Wilds. Chronologically, it occurs after the end of the Tawny Man Trilogy. I thought I would be finished writing it by now, but I've got a bit of a knot at the end. Still, I hope to be done in about 2 weeks. Then publication in July in the UK and probably Australia. And in January 2010 in the US. Thanks for asking. And I hope you'll drop in here often. Merry Christmas. Robin and the link is : this one and later in the conversation, talking about traveling plans she(Robin) says : Hi Sara! Thanks for your kind and encouraging words. I need them this week! The only travel plans I have right now that are definite are for Conestoga Con in April in Oklahoma. There is tentative talk of a UK booktour, but it is only talk at this point. I'd love to return to Sweden! But I can't think about fun trips right now. I have to keep my brain in the book this week. Robin
