As I said in the questions thread, I'll probably be in London from Friday 26th of February to Monday 1st of March with my Dad and baby brother. And I was wondering who else might be around. What are your wishes for 2010?

I want my two bestest friends to be in good health again.

I want to have a good job that I am happy in at the end of the year.

I want a miracle to happen and my experiment to actually work.

At the very least I want someone's experiment to work... a discovery of a presently theoretical particle would be great whether dark matter, the Higgs or something supersymmetric.

I think there must have been an older Christmas loot thread too, but I don't feel like searching for it, and you can never start too many new threads.

So, what did you get?

I got:

- an awesome looking shirt
- two pairs of briefs
- some socks
- a pair of gloves
- a pair of mittens
- Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarves on DVD
- Child 44 by Tom Rob Smith
- A book about the "Thread of general warming...") and the best is still to come. Carolyn arrives Saturday for a week's stay. I haven't seen her since September.

The very last assignment I have to do for my creative writing course to interview someone. The interview would be short, perhaps 500 words, and it can be about anything. As we talked about in the previous thread, every writer would have a week to write a new monologue. Each reader would then have a week to record that monologue. This way we could get a new monologue out each week, and we wouldn't have to wait until the end to publish them all. It'd also give us a clear time frame with which to work. I am rather more conscious this year than most that all the Americans in the world seem to be sitting around today talking about all the things they are thankful for.

What an odd custom. And yet it seems to be infectious - the more I read, the more I am thinking about things that make me feel a little bit warm and fuzzy inside too.
