			<description><![CDATA[ <p>My heart fluttered a bit when Alise got on Paragon, and even more when she actually talked to him and speculated about the origin of his battered appearance
and earring. I like how Althea, Malta and others are used as characters in the plot, but they don&#39;t sideline any of the new characters. Their usage is
integral but subtle: it makes sense that they would appear where they are, given Malta&#39;s occupation as honorary Elderling, and Brashen and Althea running
Paragon. </p>

actions are &quot;wrong&quot; and I&#39;ve never been in his situation before. It&#39;s even more interesting to view his character from Alise&#39;s
perspective and understand all of the motivations and emotions that are boiling under his surface while Alise is largely ignorant of what&#39;s going on.</p>
