What did you want to happen in the Farseer trilogy that never did?

Having read all 3 trilogies and loving them... Is it just me or is there one last trilogy left unwritten? Chalced. The story of Chalced needs to be written, we have hardly ever been told in depth about the place. How good would it be if the war with the Seven Duchies became full blown. Surely there would be the Skill in Chalced as Skilled people spring up and with there power they could learn. Fitz would be drawn back to Buckkeep and thus the...

What is the dedication in everyone' copies of Royal Assassin like? I just bought a UK hardback that has the same line as Assassin's Apprentice does (for Giles, Raphael and Freddy...) but the UK paperback, the US paperback and...

Title says it all really so ill jump right in...

Has anyone else thought that Wintrow and the priests of Sa are Skilled? (Although im sure they call it something else). The first time we meet Wintrow hes in some sort of meditation building a stain-glass window, I dont have the books to hand right now but I never really fully got what was going on with that, but if the Skill is involved it makes more sense, add to that the way he holds back his pain when he has his finger cut off...

white phrophet and catalyst

Did any one eles notice that every other mention of a white prophet and the catalyst is a male/ female. Never once does Robin Hobb put an excerpt about a male WP with a Male catalyst, or 2 females. Was that just to show that Fitz and the Fool were something different from all others, or was that telling us something about the Fool himself (or herself)?

I'm just throwing this out there to think about. It's okay if none of you really have anything to say say about...

I was just thinking about how in GF Fitz told the Fool to take the love that he could get from the maid. and the Fool told said something to the effect that it wasn't like he had never known Physical love. SO was that the love of another man or was it a women? Did the Fool like men in general or was it just fitz?

And when did he 'love' this other person? because after AQ He was a women (amber).

Okay, quick creation of a new thread before I go to bed. I was rereading parts of Ship of Destiny today, and I don't think I've actually reread it properly since finishing Fool's Fate. In particular, Amber saying that everyone has a death to die resonated with me strongly this time round...but anyway, that wasn't the point.

The point was our experience, through the books, of people who lose memories...

gday. i found and then lost a thread about the time Fitz made himself sick over the knife stealing task set by Chade and Shrewd. Since i cant find it, I'll start a new thread

Alot of people were wondering if he was Skilling (yes I think so) and if he was hearing a Chade soliloquy (don't think so, it was a conversation with Shrewd which highlighted their similarities before Fitz realised they were brothers).

So who is it? Who is the worst, vilest, more despicable evil character out of both the Farseer trilogy & the Liveship Trilogy? If you could only kick one of these characters down the stairs, which would it be? And yes - it has to be evil characters, so no picking Molly. XD

Because honestly, I've seen people claim over and over again how dumb and dense and thick he is in old threads here and on the user reviews on Amazon.com and so forth and, well, I just can't see it.

In fact, having been rereading Assassin's Apprentice and Royal Assassin recently it seems to me that more often than not Burrich, Chade and Patience chastising Fitz for something they percieve as stupid is not really Fitz's fault so much as it is a case of B's, C's and P's poor parenting. I...

I am currently re-reading the Farseer Triology, and I cannot help but feel oh so frustrated at how Regal's plan of overthrowing Shrewd and Verity is succeeding towards the end of book 2.

I often wonder why, for all their (Shrewd/Chade/Fitz/Verity/Ketricken) cleverness, none of them are able to stop or falter Regal's plan. Who do you think is (most) responsible for Regal's success in his scheming, and why?

How come repelling magic is used often early on in book 1 (fitz repels a pushy man at Springfest, fitz repels molly's big daddy, and fitz repels burrich), but then is rarely used again in the later 5 books?
